Diploma Unit 3

Wines of the World

This unit is assessed by a closed book theory paper of five questions, along with a practical tasting paper assessing candidates’ application of the WSET Level 4 Systematic Approach to Tasting technique. The tasting paper is held in two parts, each covering 12 wines in total, with a short break between each paper.

The next Unit 3 Wines of the World (Part 1 France) dates are Saturdays, beginning December 2, and continuing on December 9, 16 and 23. Registration is due by Mid-November. For Diploma students who also wish to sit the French Wine Scholar Exam, they can select the option from below and pay the additional $150 fee.

The Unit 3 (Part 2 rest of the World) will continue in February and March of 2018.

The Unit 3 Exam for 2018 will take place on 13 June 2018.

The French Wine Scholar exam takes place on 20 January 2018 at 1pm.

Classes take place at Neptune School of Wine at SOCO Collection in Costa Mesa.
